Architectural photography.
Your questions, answered.
From the first conversation to the final images, a thoughtful approach to photographing your space.
Planning an architectural photography shoot in Mauritius? Whether your project is a villa, a hotel, a commercial space or an interior, these answers will help you prepare and define the images you need.
Seeing your project.
What types of projects do you photograph?
I photograph residential, hospitality and commercial architecture, including houses, villas, hotels, offices, professional spaces and interiors. Each shoot highlights the volumes, materials, light and relationships between spaces, with respect for the intent behind the project.
Who do you work with?
I work with architects, interior designers, designers, property developers and hospitality brands. Images can support a portfolio, a website or professional communications. We discuss the intended uses when you enquire, so the shoot is planned around your needs.
Do you work only in Mauritius?
I am based in Mauritius and work worldwide. Share the location of your project and your preferred dates so we can discuss availability and plan any travel requirements.
What is your approach to architectural photography?
My approach reveals the character of a place through light, composition and details. The images explore both the design and the atmosphere, the connections between spaces and the relationship with the surrounding environment. Explore the portfolio to discover the visual approach.
Planning the details.
What is the best time of day for the shoot?
It depends on the orientation of the building, the available natural light and the atmosphere you want to convey. Some facades work best in the morning or towards the end of the day, while twilight can bring out the relationship between interior and exterior lighting. Location photographs help us plan the most suitable schedule.
How should the property be prepared?
Ideally, the spaces should be finished, clean and tidy. Check that the lighting works, remove temporary objects and prepare any styling or decorative elements before the shoot. For hotels and occupied properties, access should be coordinated to keep interruptions to a minimum.
How long does an architectural shoot take?
The duration depends on the number of spaces, how ready the property is and the lighting conditions we want to capture. A focused interior shoot and a complete project with exterior and twilight views require different schedules. Share your priorities and any access constraints so we can plan appropriately.
From enquiry to images.
How much does architectural photography cost?
Each quotation reflects the scope of the project, shooting time, number of images, post-production and intended use. To request a quote, send the location, a few photographs or plans, the spaces to cover and your preferred date. Request a tailored quote.
How can I use the photographs?
Images may be intended for your website, portfolio, social media, brochures, press or advertising. Tell me how you plan to use them so the usage rights can be defined in the proposal. If partners such as an architect, builder or supplier also need to use the photographs, please mention this when preparing the brief.
When should I get in touch, and what should I send?
Get in touch once you have an idea of the shooting period, especially if the images are needed for a publication, launch or competition. Include the project type and location, key spaces and details, photographs or plans, possible dates, access arrangements, intended uses and any delivery deadline.
A considered perspective.
Images with purpose.
Every place deserves imagery that reflects its design. Share your project and your priorities, and let’s plan the right approach.
